Point Pleasant Beach

Point Pleasant Beach is an Ocean County municipality making up the northernmost point of the Barnegat Bay Island, a land mass separating the Barnegat Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. The town is a popular destination for vacationers, turning this relatively quiet town into a busy epicenter of summer activities from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Spanning roughly a mile along the coastline is the Point Pleasant Boardwalk, the staging area for a variety of family-friendly activities. At the northern end of the boardwalk is Jenkinson’s Aquarium, a must-see attraction for animal lovers of all ages. The aquarium gives visitors the unique opportunity for up close encounters with animals such as penguins, seals, and a variety of fish, along with a monstrous 58,000-gallon tank holding sharks and other marine life.

The boardwalk is also home to a fun house, multiple arcades, children’s rides and a diverse range of eateries. Acts such as Andrew Dice Clay, Gilbert Gottfried and Dave Attell have performed on Uncle Vinnie’s stage.
