Point Pleasant Beach

Spanning roughly a mile along the coastline is the Point Pleasant Boardwalk, the staging area for a variety of family-friendly activities.  At the northern end of the boardwalk is Jenkinson’s Aquarium, a must-see attraction for animal lovers of all ages.  The aquarium gives visitors the unique opportunity for up close encounters with animals such as penguins, seals, and a variety of fish, along with a monstrous 58,000-gallon tank holding sharks and other marine life.

The boardwalk is also home to a fun house, multiple arcades, children’s rides and a diverse range of eateries.  If you’re looking for a higher end dining experience with an ocean view, check out Martell’s Tiki Bar and Lobster House.  Looking for something a little simpler?  Stop by Joey Tomato’s for a slice of the best pizza around!

If it’s nightlife you’re after, head into the heart of town on Arnold Avenue and you’ll find Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club, an intimate venue showcasing both local up and coming talent, as well as nationally recognized headliners.  Acts such as Andrew Dice Clay, Gilbert Gottfried and Dave Attell have performed on Uncle Vinnie’s stage.  Be sure to book your tickets ahead of time, as some of the most notable acts tend to sell out quickly!
