Asbury Park is a coastal town in Monmouth County almost entirely surrounded by water. The Asbury Park Boardwalk lines the beach on the Atlantic Ocean on the east of town. Properties line the lakefront in the north of town on Deal Lake and the south side of town has Wesley Lake to enjoy. There is even Sunset Lake in the middle of town with it’s Memorial Park on 5th Ave.
There’s lots of great stuff on land in Asbury Park too. Kennedy Park and Springwood Park are popular locations for fun events like Music Mondays and makers and farmers markets. There are plenty of other parks and playgrounds throughout town and a dog beach at Bradley Cove.

The Convention Hall has been host to a variety of performances including Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, vintage motorcycle conventions, and roller derby. The Wonder Bar is another popular venue for live music and they have Yappy Hour when dogs are welcome! For 48 years, The Stone Pony has been a favorite destination for music lovers. Located on the corner of 2nd Ave. and North Ocean Ave. the calendar at The Stone Pony never disappoints.
Take a trip down Cookman Ave. and the surrounding area and you’ll find some of the best restaurants in Monmouth County. From Lola’s European Café and MOGO Korean Fusion Tacos to The Twisted Tree Café and Moonstruck , there is a café, diner, or restaurant to suite every taste and affair.
