Belmar means “beautiful sea” in Italian, and it’s easy to see why. One visit to its pristine beaches and seaside amusements makes clear why this borough is a destination for people throughout the state and beyond. It’s easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway and Route 195, making it an easy from New York, Philadelphia, and all parts of New Jersey. The Route 35 corridor runs right through town, too, putting the entire Shore at your fingertips!

Once you’re in Belmar, you’ll want to stroll the downtown area for a day of shopping and eating. Visit Beach Haus Brewery for craft beer and live music, then stop by 10th Avenue Burrito for some food made famous by Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. With multiple parks, including scenic Maclearie Park right on the water off Route 35, boat rentals, sailing on Shark River, oceanfront amusements, and much more, it’s no wonder people flock to Belmar every summer!
