When you are done enjoying a delicious meal, relax and take a stroll on one of the trails in the Lenape Woods Nature Preserve on the opposite side of town. This space of approximately 51 acres was saved from construction and development by concerned residents and associations from the three surrounding towns in the mid-late 1990’s.
If you prefer to sit and enjoy a gorgeous view, visit the Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook on Ocean Boulevard. The elevation of this site provides visitors with spectacular views of Sandy Hook, Sandy Hook Bay, Raritan Bay and the New York skyline. There is also a stunning 9/11 memorial honoring the 147 Monmouth County residents who lost their lives that tragic day.
