Berkeley Township

If you’ve attended the Ocean County Fair you know that Ocean County has an airport. For anyone who wasn’t aware, the Robert J. Miller Airpark is located in the western side of the large township of Berkeley. The airport provides service for corporate aircraft, personal planes, and emergency aircraft. Medical transport for multiple hospitals reside here, along with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, and the Ocean Air Support Squadron. The airpark is also home to a dog park in addition to the fairgrounds being the location of the county fair.

To the east of the airpark is Double Trouble State Park. A beautiful park surrounding old cranberry bogs and winding through the pine barrens. If you keep moving east, you’ll find the Cedar Creek Golf Course and then the John C. Bartlett, Jr. County Park right along the Barnegat Bay. This park has a spray park and welcomes those looking to go fishing and crabbing to do so off the pier.

Berkeley is also home to a number of great restaurants. Two that stand out are in the Bayville section of town and have great views of the bay. MJ’s Restaurant Bar and Grill and B2 Bistro provide patrons with delicious food alongside stunning views. In addition to their great drink menus, there isn’t much more you can ask for in a dining experience!
