In the heart of Middlesex County, the Township of East Brunswick meanders over 22 square-miles. The northernmost boundary lies on the southern bank of the Raritan River and a tributary, the Lawrence Brook, including Farrington Lake and Westons Mill Pond, lines a portion of the western section. The Tamarack Hollow Preserve covers 6.7 square-miles on the west side of town while Jamesburg Park Conservation Area protects 1,436 acres of open space. The developed acreage of town provides residents with home options of all types including townhouses, single family homes, and apartment complexes.

The theater group Playhouse 22 has been entertaining the neighborhood for over 60 years. It is a non-profit 501(c)3, all-volunteer community run theater that was named “Community Theater of the Year” by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters. In addition to this and many other accolades, the performance of 1776 was named “Best Musical of the Year” in 2016.
While the troupe puts on plays at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center in the southern section of the township, kids play all types of sports at Heavenly Farms Park which is just to the north. This park has a disc golf course, a general use sports fields, a baseball field, and is used by the East Brunswick Soccer Club. Dog owners can also bring their dogs to play with others at the off-leash dog park.
Just to the east of Heavenly Farms is the home of the Middlesex County Fair. For over 81 years, community members have been flocking to the fair every summer to enjoy rides, events, fireworks, and performances. Vendors include crafters, food items, clothing, and home improvement retailers. Plus, for a donation, the fairgrounds can be rented out for other events.
