Little Egg Harbor

While most of the Ocean County towns making up the “Jersey Shore” coastline are situated adjacent to the Barnegat Bay, Little Egg Harbor is the only one that shares a coastline with both the Barnegat Bay and the Great Bay. Ample water access makes Little Egg Harbor a great destination to enjoy bay related activities like fishing, crabbing, and watersports like kiteboarding and windsurfing.

Looking for boat access? You’ll find two boat ramps in town. This one will get you into the Barnegat Bay, while this one will give you access to both the Great Bay and Barnegat Bay. Be careful though, both areas can be on the shallower side at low tide.

While the township was formed in the 1700’s, it wasn’t until the 1950’s that any significant development began. Most of the initial housing built during this time were small bungalows, sold mainly as vacation homes. Fast forward to the 2000’s, and Little Egg Harbor finds itself as one of the fastest growing communities, with an influx of several housing developments and shopping centers.

Shooters is a popular destination for local firearm enthusiasts. They have both indoor and outdoor ranges for those looking to work on their firing accuracy, as well as an indoor archery range. Both the archery range and indoor firing range are wheelchair accessible.
