Lavallette is a borough in Ocean County situated on what some refer to as “The Barrier Island” or “Barnegat Peninsula”. The entire borough is less than one full square mile, but that didn’t stop this shore town from ranking as one of the best places to live in NJ by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
While there are less than 3000 permanent residents in Lavallette, vacationers flock to the town during summer months for its pristine beaches and gorgeous vacation rentals. Nine oceanside beaches and two bayside beaches provide visitors with ample opportunity to enjoy a slew of water activities like fishing, crabbing, surfing and sailing.
Looking for nightlife? Stop by the Centennial Gazebo and Gardens located at the bayfront on Philadelphia Avenue. Concerts, fireworks and movie nights are just a few of the things you may find here. Check out the borough’s calendar here to find out what event is happening on any given night.
We can’t talk about things to do in Lavallette without mentioning some of the amazing food this town has to offer. Ohana Grill is a locals’ favorite for “A taste of Hawaii at the Jersey Shore”.
