Milltown

In the heart of Middlesex County, east of North Brunswick, is the 1.6 square-mile Borough of Milltown. The Lawrence Brook, which also lines the western edge of East Brunswick to the north and south, runs through the middle of town and the New Jersey Turnpike runs along the southern edge. The mill for which the town was named was owned by multiple companies including the Meyer Rubber Company, the India Rubber Company, and Michelin Tire Company. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 and has since been converted into 45 condominiums.

As with most small towns, Milltown has an active Main Street. Looking for a new pet? You’ll want to be sure to contact Karma Cat & Zen Dog Rescue Society. They’ve been matching up best friends since 2010. You can then head across the street to Bites and Bowls or the Milltown Ice Cream Depot for a tasty treat. If you continue across the river and head up N Main St., you’ll find many other businesses. Banks, eateries, salons, as well as alternative companies like a tattoo parlor, a comic book store, and an antique store make it easy for residents to support local businesses.

One of the biggest entertainment draws of Milltown is the Urban Air Trampoline Park. This adventure park has more than just trampolines. A great place to have birthday parties and group events, additional attractions include dodge ball, climbing walls, a playground and a warrior course. There is something fun for all ages at Urban Air.
