If you’re trailering a boat and searching for an entry point to the Barnegat Bay, head to West 75th Street.  You’ll find a public boat ramp lacking the hustle and bustle of some of the more popular boat launches on the island.  It’s a great spot to launch a small skiff and enjoy a day fishing and exploring the back bays of LBI.  If you come up short on your fishing trip, don’t worry, Harvey Cedars Shellfish Co. has you covered!  Stop in for some of the freshest seafood around.  Be sure to bring cash though, as it’s a cash-only establishment!

Local kiteboarders and windsurfers know Harvey Cedars for James Street, an iconic launch area on the bay side of the island.  The peninsula accessed at the end of this street provides the perfect setup area for a day kiteboarding or windsurfing on the bay, but it became a point of controversy in 2016 when a private citizen purchased the land from the town.  Water enthusiasts rejoiced when the township purchased the property back from the private owner in 2021 and allowed the previous activities to resume.
